Oops, it was my mistake. He didn’t score against Nigeria but against Guinea. Thanks for pointing that out, lefutur.

Lyon players (and ex Lyon players!) make up the bulk of Domenech’s A team. Only two lyonnais are on the A’ team:
Les A face à l’Espagne: Coupet, Landreau – Sagnol, Clerc, Thuram, Gallas, Escudé, Abidal, Evra – Toulalan, Makelele, L. Diarra, Vieira (cap) – Govou, Anelka, Henry, Benzema, Malouda, Ben Arfa.
Les A’ face à la RD Congo: Lloris, Mandanda – Sagna, Boumsong, Squillaci, Mexes, Givet, Clichy – Flamini, A. Diarra, Nasri, Diaby, Rothen – Briand, Cissé, Ménez.

Wait, Escude over Mexes or Squillaci, what the hell are you thinking?
Lassana Diarra over Alou Diarra or Flamini? Nasri on the A team? What is this…

L Diarra normally performs well for the NT and has been called up more than A Diarra and Flamini. Nasri will get more time on the A’ team. And Escude can play as LB and CB, so he’s very flexible.
