Don’t forget Boumsong. And isn’t Barca trying to sign Collocini aswell? Well Paillot’s not getting a look-in, Anderson should definitely be sold, wouldn’t be sure how much is left in Muller either.

Yeah, Garay right now is headed to Barca, but he hasnt agreed personal terms yet. The press makes this out as a big deal, but during the season players dont like to talk about contracts to distract them from playing, so in all likely hood he moves to Barca. If not, he will go to Liverpool, Real dropped there interest and if he did move to Real the Ultra Sur would be terrible on the guy, it wouldnt be worth it. He is like Gabi Milito, we passed on him foolishly and will pay for it in the end. Lyon should look for someone a little cheaper, but with Toto, Cris, Muller and Anderson back from injury and Paillot coming back from loan, someone must be sold before we buy a center back. And it better not be Paillot!

I agree with Garay not a chance because Real Madrid want him. But Barzagli I dunno. There is bigger clubs interested but I wonder if Grosso being at Lyon would have any sway? Are Juventus really THAT big a club still?

Yes it’s true. Maybe Lyon can’t compare with Milan or Real M. and competition with them in market, but both of that gigants destroy young players. Exmp. Gourcuff who came from Rennes to Milan. Milan destroy him. He was future of French football, and what he si now? He is on bench always, maybe he gets 10 or 15 minutes to play. Marseille wants him, but OLM is can’t won a domestic tittle, and I’am sure that Gourcuff want to wins tittle. I’am not said that he must go to Lyon, but I prefered more Bordeaux, who has good team, or even Lille, the team who must get an attacking player. And for the all fans of Lyon, Perrin says : We go to defeat both Valenciennes and Marseille. Let’s hope he said right words.

Also, I wanted to point out the new design at the top of the page, which organizes the club blogs much better. But what it also shows is that we need more French bloggers!! Bordeaux, Nice, Monaco, Toulouse, Nancy, etc. Surely they have some fans?

Sidney Govou: As much as Lyon fans like Govou, he has less admirers across France, many of whom think he’s an underwhelming player who hasn’t contributed much to Les Bleus besides those two goals he scored against Italy last year.

Ush: Yeah, I saw that Crosas interview. Then I saw the original in Spanish. What he actually said was that Barca has always been his dream and he’d love to make a career there. Which makes sense because he’s a youth product from one of the best clubs in the world in probably the best league in the world, and he grew up worshiping all the players. But what he also said was that if he had to make a career anywhere other than Barca, it would be Lyon.

rougebleu: I agree, I think Lyon jumped on the boat too late for those players. With the huge clubs interested in them, Lyon can’t compete. About the France-England game, Toulalan was great as usual – Paul Doyle at the guardian named him MotM, and Skysports said he “oozed class.” But I’m not really surprised to see him play like that anymore, and should Vieira get injured – again – Toulalan seems to be the automatic first choice.

Clerc’s match was more surprising, in a good way. He’s been getting better and better, though of course he has room for improvement. Domenech has been selecting Clerc for almost two years now, and despite the recent explosion of Bakary Sagna, Domenech seems to prefer Clerc. That made a lot of people – including me – wonder because Sagna seems to be a much better player at the moment. But Clerc’s game has taking an added dimension in recent months, and you can tell that he’s getting more and more confident about involving himself in play. I still don’t think he’s as explosive or as dangerous as Sagna, but it’s become apparent that Clerc is definitely good enough to be Sagnol’s backup. I also think that while Clerc will keep on improving because he has yet to reach the peak of his potential, Sagna is where he will always be, and from now on, it’s just an accumulation of experience. So really the question is, by the time Sagnol retires, who will be better? Clerc or Sagna? It could also simply be a matter of who the other players work better with. And given Clerc’s ability to play anywhere on the right side, it’s a mark in his favor because we all know how much Domenech loves versatility.

Garay isn’t going to happen and neither is Barzagli. Toulalan and Clerc played really well yesterday. Govou ran through the whole england defence at one point…only to have his pass intercepted. Toulalan is learning a lot from the internationals, he went up a lot more than usual and contributed a lot to the play. If we get another Defensive Mid, I wouldn’t mind seeing a 4-2-2-2 or 4-2-3-1 in the future. It would lessen his defensive duties and we could really use the extra midfielder in building play in the opposite end.

You have wright Ush, but Lyon, in case that they buy Barzagli, must throw out one or two central defenders. I think that Muller is out if Barzagli or even Garay from Racing cameto Lyon.

Fullbacks feel safer to move foward when the centre half inside them is solid and can cover. Hmm, I think Lyon should have a look at Barzagli for the summer!
