Ugly day in Olympique Lyonnais History. Clerc should have never been on the field. We were tired. Benzema not 100%. Should have seen this coming, but i was too stupid to say otherwise.
See ya Guys.

From winning the double last year, to likely not winning anything at all. LMAO and Perrin is still in Europe with ASSE. We haven’t progress at all.

I’m starting to think the ligue 1 overhaul might be a good idea…

Well guys we can say, now, all ugly about Lyon. But I as real fan say that Lyon is only european champion for me. I love you Lyon!!! I doesn’t matter what you will say, I just know that I still belive in you. And I will prove that you are the best club in Europe. Sorry guys, you maybe think that I’m crazy, but I cry, I cry very much. But that is my feelins for Lyon. Allez Lyonnais!!

Did I say how EMBARRASSED I was?
Wow, a truly bad performance. There were no excuses. None. Lyon played like they came from a local Sunday league. Watching them tonight, they seemed like they had no European aspirations whatsoever.

sidney govou that’s true and I love lyon forever and ever, only reason I am saying something ugly about lyon is because this is very paintful for me

Hopefully next year we actually make an effort to finish first in the group stages, altough with our luck, we’ll probably draw the eventual CL winners anyway.

Everyone here admits that Lyon played bad and that you are ashamed. But as soon as I mention that Lloris sucks, then it’s not his fault? So ..basically you are all ashamed of Lyon, but not Lloris. Nice logic.

We’ll get trough this, we need more skillful players upfront..some1 really creative..OMG i miss Ben Arfa..he made life so easy for Benzema. Michel Bastos – in, Hazard – in, gignac, hourau – in, sakho – in, matuidi – in…:)

Our backline was in shambles MrCham, Clerc had to be taken off for Bodmer and Boumsong wasnt at 100% and Cris had a bad night. If you’ll remember in the first leg, Lloris was the best OL player on the pitch.

mrCham: The entire team played badly today. Including Lloris. He wasn’t solely responsible but he could have done better. I do however think it’s unfair to blame Lloris alone for those five goals because the entire team bears responsibility for that.

3 goals down again… it’s a karma….

Also, I just wanted to say, if I read any comments from Benzema saying how Lyon doesn’t match his expectations, etc, I will shoot him. He’s been totally useless these last two legs.

Both Fulham and Lyon have lost 3 games in a row

Fulham knocked out of the FA quarter finals, now Lyon in the Coupe de France and the Champions League in the last 16 again. Tonight has been a really really shit night, Lyon losing 5-2 and sitting through Fulham getting battered by crappy Blackburn. Sorry to go on about Fulham so much on a Lyon board!Posted from

PS: I would do a match review, but at the moment I don’t have anything to say except a vile stream of profanity.

wow karim benzema was absolutely pathetic in this game. what a piece of shit. and juninho did the right thing at the end of the game; the amount of diving and rolling on the ground in soccer these days is pathetic. get up and fucking play. act like men. i have no respect for any player who dives and flops like a girl. they should figure out a rule to crack down on that crap.

Meh, the moment we went down 0-3, I knew this was Benzema’s last CL match with Lyon. Inara, he can say what he wants because, in all honesty, Lyon don’t match his expectations. They didn’t match it before today’s Barca match and after. I can understand being critical of a guy like Zlatan making a comment like that after their elimination when he plays for a giant in Inter, but no one should be critical of comments like that if they come from Benzema because it’s true.

I have the feeling Lyon didn’t even try tonight. I read the blog “pierrot le foot” (I guess most French football fans read it), but I don’t agree at all with him this time round.
He says Lyon shouldn’t have any regret, while I think Lyon had given up before the game even started!
He wrote Juninho was nervous and bad, while I think he played alright and just hates to lose! He scored again tonight, and does in most important games. I truly think he is the only World Class player we have in our team despite the old age. All the other players looked like rookies who were playing their first L1 game.]As for Puel, I think he should take A LOT of the blame for this season. But most people support him. I just don’t get it… He communicates well, but apart from that he made of Lyon a “tamed” team. Against the playing style of those last 6 years.
I am not even sad today… just disappointed by the shameful performances in the last 2 weeks.

Puel has officially done a worse job than Perrin, and done it in style by getting hammered on all fronts!
At least with the United games last season we had reason for positivity. That was just a joke and we were a million miles away from winning the CL, in fact a million miles from even getting past the 2nd round at this stage. Puel has spent alot of money and the players have not played well. I thought at the very least he would have them organised and with a work man like ethic but even that has not happened at all. Maybe what we need is a young manager like Pep Guardiola who will demand more.I don’t mind if Puel wanted to make us more defensive and compact but he hasn’t even done that! We’re conceding more and scoring FAR less than last season. Awful, and the worst shape I’ve seen them in for a long time.

I have mixed feelings on Puel, because although the form has been poor, I have confidence in him to get in right in the future. He seems a very calm and assured figure, and that’s what a club needs, and Perrin never felt assured. I hope Puel has a long term aim for the club where they progress each year. I hope he gets given another year at the club at least.

To be fair puel had to deal with a lot of injured players: clerc, reveillere, govou, bodmer for more than six months plus all the others that are injured every other day like mensah, delgado or fabio santos.. Puel has demonstrated in the past that he is a good manager and I am confident for the next season.

Yes its been an awful season so far (and might get worse if the league games don’t pick up), and yes on paper Perrin did a much better job, but there’s no way I’d swop him for Puel.
For me Puel still seems the best man for the job (bearing in mind we won’t ever attrack a top flight manager whilst we have the Aulas /Lacombe partnership to deal with). Perrin never inspired confidence and the odd glimmers of gold on his CV never seemed sustainable. When OL lost badly( Rangers ?) Perrin just stood on the touch line looking lost and as if it was all pre destined. With Puel at least he shouts, he shows he’s mad, that he cares.
I too still have confidence in Puel, he has proved himself before and he I do still think he can for OL.His past successes seem built on stronger foundations. I do think he’ll still be here next season, but then he’d better bring in some results.Posted from

I think Perrin shouldn’t have been fired after securing the double but on the same note I dont think Puel should be fired if he doesnt bring in the championship trophy. Part of Lyon’s problem is that there is no long term vision with respect to the coaching. Puel needs to be given time to build a foundation and carry out his goals.
