What a horrible game. Unlike last time, there was NO excuse for today’s performance. None. Both Perrin and the players sucked ass.

Oh my god… where is the former OL?
I am surrounded by OM fans here, now I’m glad I’m leaving to Hong Kong in a few days…Posted from

This is absolute hypocrisy. Allain Perrin is a no good vagina. Screw this, it’s all unnecessary. This better get Perrin fired. I WANT EVERYBODY TO KNOW! THE CHICAGO BULL NEVER WON A CHAMPIONSHIP WITH DOUG COLLINS (ALLAIN PERRIN)! IT WAS PHIL JACKSON THAT TOOK THEM TO THE PROMISE LAND!

It was like Lyon went out there to lose. Just wow.
What am embarrassment for OL and for French football.

Something even more stunning : Juninho has just stated, they’d pretty much play for the third place now.
Wow. After only two games.
This team just has lost its winning at all cost mentality.Posted from

Juninho needs to be the leader. There are so many players that look up to him. This all stems back to management. Lyon are still a really good team, they lack direction. Stupid Aulas was being a cheap bastard when he made Perrin the coach. They replaced their players fairly well over the summer but the coach sucks balls. Perrin you dumb skeezer, what a loser that guy is along with Aulas for hiring him. The players should even care what the coach says they should go out their and play team ball.

Wow, just wow. For Juni to be saying that. I mean, I agree that 3rd place is gonna be it, but the captain isn’t supposed to say those things publicly! Nor is he supposed to undermine his coach.
Proof that there is a lot of shit going on behind the scenes with Juni and Perrin.

horrible game. I don’t think Perrin will be fired just yet. As bad as he is, Aulas knows that it might be worse getting rid of a coach after two cl games.
Lyon won’t qualify out of this group.

That was the worst match I’ve seen at Gerland - worse than Roma. Loosing 3:0 at home to Rangers bad,bad bad, we really don’t deserve to progress.
In fairness up until the second half we were very dominant but just could not get through the Rangers defence, but then after the second goal we just gave up. I couldn’t even spot a man of the match, just candidates for worst man of the match (Baros or Vercoutre probably).
After the third goal there was loads of booing and whilsting from the OL supporters it really wasn’t a nice atmosphere, plus loads of people leaving early.
Perrin was pacing very nervously and on the metro home he had been rechristened PPS (semaine). Why didn’t Toulalan play, the man who has played the most consistently high level football this season. He wasn’t even subbed in. Unbelievable.
Maybe Aulas’s comments will provide more entertainment that the football.Posted from

Toulalan was apparently diagnosed with intestinal disorders prior to the game. Perrin didn’t want to play him injured, but then I don’t see why he wanted him on the bench…

@Storm: Toulalan was sick.

ah - OK I understand.

But why put Toulalan on the team sheet? And Fabio Santos would have been a better DM than Toulalan. That’s why we bought him from Cruziero, to be a DM!!!

I’m trying really hard to understand what happened. According to football365.fr and the OL forum survey, Juni was the best Lyon player on the pitch…that’s how bad our performances were.
FYI, OLWEB hasn’t posted Aulas’s post match comments yet.

I’m so sad right now. I just come back from Gerland.
Juni was the best OL player. And I think Govou was the worst.
We hit 3 times the post, and the GK made 2 unbelievable stops.
Sometimes, football is like this… Unfair.Posted from

Juninho said (and I don’t blame him) “Now we must ensure we finish third (for a UEFA Cup place). Already? Well we can still qualify for the knockout stages but one has to be realistic …. we have conceded six goals in two matches and not scored one.”

It’s going to be really hard.
Well, Manchester United was fourth in their group two years ago. Benfica couldn’t get into the group stages because of Celtic last year. And Bayern didn’t even qualify for the CL this year.
Not that it makes this any easier to comprehend. Watching an inferior team beat us on home ground is hard to swallow.

Does that mean that F***ing s.o.b Perrin is leaving now

I don’t understand how OL fans can say it’s over and let’s shoot for 3rd. Sure, 2 dismal performances, but you have back-to-back games against Stuttgart while Barcelona play Rangers twice. If you win both against Stuttgart and Barca or Rangers win both of those matches, you’re right back in it. Sure, you’re in a hole, but it’s only been 2 of 6 games, meaning you’re far form mathematically out of it.
I understand the pessimism, but you have until Oct 23 to come up with the goods to beat another 0 point team. So take heart.

I just heard on the radio JM Larque calling Perrin PPO (passera pas Octobre). That was hilarious

WHat has Perrin said about that f***Ing awful display

Yeah, I agree with Isaiah. You still have it in your own hands, but admittedly improvements on the pitch are needed.

Inara, that was a very interesting comment you made. “Watching an inferior team beat us on home ground is hard to swallow.” Do you not think that’s where Lyon got it wrong? Expecting to win? This is the champions league after all, there are no inferior teams! Every game is a potential banana skin. Respect other clubs lyon. WELL DONE RANGERS!!! YOU PLAYED THE GAME WELL!!!
