I’m surprised more didn’t pick Tony Parker. He’s like the best of both worlds — French and American.

And I knew without looking that Coupet’s would be a rugby player.

My brother rooted for Sweden in the 2002 World Cup based entirely on Peter Forsberg. I think he tends to pull for the Czechs these days, though…

Is that handball in the fifth picture? I still don’t entirely understand handball, but it fascinates me.

I’m not surprised. Top sportsmen always admire other top athletes.

weird choice from Toulalan. Im surprised noone chose the snooker or petanque world champion ;)

As for handball, it is a great game. Fast, spectacular, great moves… etc. It’s a shame English speaking countries are not into it.

pineau and toulalan are friends in RL.

källström and baros choosing hockey players is to be expected, it’s the n°1 sport in their countries.

the only surprises i had were vercoutre’s choice of JR since he is a big basketball fan, and gasquet only getting one call, since the french are very big on tennis.

Interesting pick from Sandy Paillot. And Toulalan’s pick, of course its boring, he is a dull guy. He lists his greatest pleasure as taking walks with his family.

The interesting thing about Toulalan is that he doesn’t actually like football outside of Lyon. He readily admits that he doesn’ follow the sport and results of other teams - his dad is the fan in the family. Growing up, he didn’t have any “idols” like so many others did, and if you asked him what club he most wants to join, he’d come up blank.

Of course he also knows which clubs are big and which isn’t, but I think that’s one of the reasons Toulalan never gets carried away with himself.

My vote go for => Reveillere, Santos, Ben Arfa and Fred => Nadal.

Coupet, like you said, we already know that he would pick a rugby player.

I’m surprised too, no Michael Jordan here.

Govou is not a big football fan either, he wants to be a school teacher.

govou was fonder of mathematics than football until it looked likely he could make a pro career out of it, and i think he has a bac S.
