So I saw the highlights, and I’ve come to a few conclusions.

1. It’s important to remember that this is only the second match for the internationals, and they only played for half a game.
2. Puel and the players seemed more concerned with simply playing than worrying about the score.
3. Makoun looked really good and is a good counterpart for Toulalan.
4. Delgado was pretty good himself.
5. Puel subbed every player out of the game except for Lloris. We have yet to see a game where he works with the pressure of only having three subs, so at the moment, we don’t know what his starting XI is.
6. Fred, Keita, Ederson, and Fabio Santos missed the game due to injuries. Yet I felt that Lyon had so many players available despite that.
7. True we were the side that gave up a goal (it was on a stupid corner), but for the most part, Lloris had nothing to do whereas Flavio Roma was busy all match (he had a good game fyi).

I didn’t get to watch the entire game, so I know I missed a lot of stuff. I’ll try to find a torrent, but if any of you watched the game, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
