Le futur – Actually, you’re right. they look like they’re posing for someone.
But if you watched the Canal+ footgae pregame, you would have seen that it was just natural. Same thing with Francois Clerc, Squillacci, revilleire and Givet talking.

Inara, I thought you might like this. further evidence that France produces the most world class players.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?xml=/sport/2007/11/06/ufnstats106.xml

A list of the 100 best players of all time….according to just the statistics. highly dubious i know. BUT France did get the most players in the list, i counted.

    France – 15
    Brazil – 11 , Holland – 11
    Germany – 10 , Italy – 10
    Argentina – 7
    England – 6

Thanks for the list, Lefutur. It makes sense that in general, French players have won more titles than any other – I mean, it’s not like they play in the trophy barren place known as L1. You know what really annoys me though? France develop all these great players, and they in turn leave for other leagues and play well there and help them win, and so those leagues act like they were responsible for making those players “great.”

And maybe they were posing. But who cares, they are so adorable. I wish I could see that Canal+ coverage of the warm ups. :( Setanta don’t show these things.

I think this list is dependent on titles and awards won.

There was a player for Cadiz in the early 90’s, his name was El Magico Gonzalez. Look at this video, he is quite stunning, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPQhoe1ikck. The music is horrible as usual, but his name does not appear on the list, even though he appears to me to be one of the greatest dribblers I have ever seen. The most impressive thing is around the 2:40 mark, incredible. Yet I doubt many people have ever heard of him, to bad.

Loic getting called up to the U-21 team is strange to me. He needs a half season on loan, if he comes good then fine, if not then adios. Loseemy Karaboue looks a much better bet for a future star then Remy right now.
