If you ever watched him play for Rennes you would realise he is actually a pretty astute central midfielder and would fit into Kim Kallstrom/Bodmer's spot pretty easily. I say defensive midfielder because Toulalan was a central midfielder that attacked when we bought him from Nantes, its why we also bought Alou Diarra, but he turned out alright I guess.... he is played in various positions, but he is always out of position with milan.
