Wiltord Threatens to Expose Teammates in Sex Scandal!
By: Inara | May 21st, 2007
The Sylvain Wiltord drama took a tabloid-worthy turn today.
It turns out that Wiltord’s exclusion and following suspension from team activities was the result of partying in his hotel room before the Lyon-Rennes match three weeks ago. His behavior was “too festive and not really exemplary.” And yes, there were girls involved.
Right. We all knew that Nino likes to party. He even admitted it himself.
But according to France Football, Wiltord wasn’t alone, and he’s unhappy for taking the blame for the “too festive” party when nine of his other teammates were supposedly involved as well. He is now threatening to reveal the other names unless the club sanctions them as well.
NINE???
If true, it could spell disaster for a club that is known for being “clean.” What started out as a quiet disciplinary matter that the club tried to hide under the carpet has taken a nasty twist. The small hotel party is now becoming a possible sex scandal featuring married players and call girls.
And to think that I called the Lyon team boring.
But what is clear is that Wiltord’s departure is now a question of when, not if. He’s already pissed off Houllier and the management, and I’m sure his teammates won’t be too pleased by his threats either.
P.S.: Who do you think the nine players are? I have some ideas – Govou for sure – but I don’t know if I can come up with nine. That’s just crazy.

All I can say is that they’d better not have involved sweet young Karim in anything unsavory.
Other than that… Let’s see… Of course you’re right about Govou. Probably there with an “a little round woman” or two… Other than that, no clue.
What an ugly-yet-delicious topic to speculate about!

Where did you see that call girls were involved?

Filip4: Right now, it’s just a rumor. A broadcaster on RTL said that women were invited to Wiltord’s hotel room at the party, but that’s all that is officially known. What Nino is now saying is that his teammates were also involved.
The callgirls thing is a rumor that the broadcaster was speculating, because whatever happened at that hotel is serious enough for Wiltord to be fired. That’s what I was pointing out – that this Wiltord incident has blown up into an ugly, messy, affair with rumors flying all over the place, and it might hurt the reputations of players and hurt their families.

I also read about women being involved in Wiltord’s party. I’ll try to find the link and post it here. Not sure if they were call girls or just women he picked up from some club, but whoever they were, it’s the ensuing party that got Wiltord into trouble since he might have hurt the club’s image. And Aulas will hate that.

[...] Perhaps Lyon’s domination of Ligue 1 isn’t down to luck. Coming off a shock defeat against Marseille, I was hoping Rennes could pull off a good result against a side that looked friable. But with 4 defeats on the run, Wiltord probably wished for better circumstances to meet his orgy friends… [...]

[...] And then you have Lyon, who not only send a plane but also send a member of their staff to personally accompany players back (which I think is to prevent them from getting drunk and having sex with prostitutes in those post-match shenanigans). [...]
