Stupid Marseille. They let Bordeaux to catch up them. They would risk they chanches for Europe just to see Lyon down. Marseille, forget that. You never gone be champpion, that also worth for Bordeaux. We must trust in our players. They will win both game, against Nancy and Auxerre, they will be better, they will be infornt of Bordeaux, they will be champions. Allez Allez Lyonnais And one more thing : Lyon will chursh Sedan, not becuase they will be in final, its because they morale will be sky high before Nancy.

I am confident the team can get the title. The problem is not there for me, it is more the mentality that pisses me off. Why has Lyon been playing crappy soccer in this last month? That’s unacceptable. I love football more than titles, and the team hasn’t played well for a long spell.

As for comments Lyon can’t handle the pressure, I dismiss this argument. Lyon won their first title on a make it or lose it game. They also came back from nowhere to catch up Monaco. Lyon can handle pressure, don’t worry about that. It’s keeping the scoreline they can’t do. Those players are simply not mend to defend.

If we can’t defeat Nancy at home, then we don’t deserve to be champions. Simple as that. Bordeaux plays extremely well and very motivated, it wouldn’t be unfair if they were crowned as champions. I believe, however, that we’ll make it, why shouldn’t we? Why should the future ‘european conquerors’ fear a team like Nancy? Girondins defeated a Marseille side desperate for a victory in front of their own fans, and that is after trailing 1:0 in the 80th minute. If we, in contrast, can’t get 4 points (’cause that’s what we need) out of Nancy and Auxerre, then what the hell, let’s fire Perrin and think about next season. But like I said, I believe we’ll make it. Allez Lyon!

I was stressed, that’s right… but I wasn’t still a Lyon supporter in 2002. I always have been Lensois ! It’s a family stuff
So the result did not make me happy in 2002.

And believe me, I’m more stressed by Lens next games by now than by Lyon’s situations.
My 2 loving teams are having hard time…

Well, speaking for myself, I have a lot of belief in the squad. And of course I will support them no matter what, even if they for some odd reason have a Valencia like season (I hope that never happens!). But I also have high expectations because I know they are capable of so much more than the half-assed displays on the pitch that I’ve been seeing in the past few weeks. As dedicated fans, we should question why this is happening. I love our players, but I don’t accept it when they play well below their standards.

In the past five league games, Lyon have only won a single one, and that was against Strasbourg. That’s unacceptable when it’s the business end of the season. Lyon being casual about the Nice game because they thought that Bordeaux would lose at Marseille was a huge mistake on their part. And though I don’t want to agree with what Clement said about, his point is valid in the sense that Lyon don’t handle pressure well. Even before the Nice game, I figured that Lyon would draw against Nancy, but that would be okay if Lyon won at Nice and Auxerre. But now Lyon have to win against Nancy in a do or die match, and Nancy are a REALLY tough team to play against. It’s not that hard to imagine OL being unable to score against the tightest defense in the league.

mrCham – you must have missed all those games Lyon were supposed to win but didn’t (champions league, league cup final, etc). Lyon are shit under pressure, and the only reason they win Ligue 1 every year is because it’s over 38 games. But when it comes to do or die matches, no team is as good at falling apart during crucial moments as Lyon.

Can everyone just cheer the f**k up? Why doesn’t anyone believe in their team? This is not what Fans are supposed to do. To mourn before anything even has happened. They aimed not to lose and they accomplished that! Now their aim is to win and believe YOU me, that’s exactly what they’re gonna do. Jesus christ, reading these posts makes me wonder how much of a fan you guys really are. Not believing in them when they are having a bad time? Is that what you’d expect your fans to do? I am glad Bordeaux won. Lyon players won’t be as complacent in the next games… or at least shouldn’t afford to. It is also a good way to keep people interested in the league. I would actually like Bordeaux to win the next game and Lyon to draw.
This would force the players to play on the last day. Lyon may actually learn a lot from this.

Jo – I am sure you had a more stressful game against Lens for the 1st title. Or PSV in the quarters of CL 4 years ago.

It is really good to see Bordeaux at the top and playing well.
