I know what you mean, Jo. I was pretty annoyed too. It wasn’t very classy of him, and normally he doesn’t make statements like that. But I feel like Nasri’s head is already out of France.

Btw, did you see Ribery’s comment last week: “I can’t see myself playing for a French club again, even for Lyon. Here (at Bayern), everything is so well organised. You just can’t compare.”

WTF? It’s not like he’s at Real Madrid. Besides being richer, I don’t think that Bayern (or even the Bundesliga) is that much of an improvement over Lyon that he has to go say shit like that. That made me pretty upset actually. Especially when Lyon have been consistently better than Bayern in the CL for the past five years.

Marseille is out. That’s so amazing !

Now, he’s out of the UEFA… but also of the CdF.
I don’t enjoy at all there are no french teams in an European cup, but I REALLY didn’t like what Nasri said.

CdF update: Bordeaux beat Lille in ET. Carquefou is five minutes away from kicking Marseille out of the competition!!! Btw, Carquefou are in the fifth division!!

That’ll never happen, Corey. It’s because Perrin believes in putting out his best lineup for every single cup match, no matter what the opponent. He did use some underused players in some earlier CdL matches, and the team really struggled. Now that OL have made a double their objective, losing in the CdF means that dream is over. So he’s deathly paranoid of losing and won’t take any risks. So no bench players unless there are injuries or suspensions.
