Could You be Be the Third Prong in the Lyon Offside Blogging Trident?

By: Daryl | October 13th, 2009

blog for lyon offsideThere might be room for a third blogger here on Lyon Offside. Emphasis on the might.

Inara and John aren’t going anywhere, but they have asked me to find a third writer to help them out, keep the posts coming, and generally be part of a deadly OL blogging trident.

However, Because Inara and John have set such excellent standards here, I’m setting the bar very very high. If you want to join them and blog on Lyon Offside, you must have:

1. An excellent command of the English language.
2. The ability to write with insight, opinion and humour.
3. A good understanding of how blogs work. Links, images, videos etcetera.
4. The commitment to post regularly. At least three times a week.

If interested, please read The Offside blogger guidelines here and then email me at daryl[at]theoffside[dot]com with a bit about yourself and and a short Lyon related writing sample.

I have to laugh at these transfer rumours.First Pjanic to City for 5mil and now these.I mean Toule to Atletico you have to be crazy to go from Lyon to Atletico.Toule could play for Arsenal,ManUtd,Real…

Sam: I’m still not sure other clubs will shell-out what Lyon would for Gignac, but the question is would he take less to go to a bigger club. Anyway, like you said, the spot light is now on him and the truth is we really don’t need him anyway. He’s a lone striker and we already have a strange situation placing a world class striker- Lisandro- on the wing. I think we have two awesome strikers and just need a solid #3, although I think Tafer’s coming along.
I’m also conscerned about any more big offensive signings screwing-up our chemistry. I want Remy, as he could play striker when needed and fill-in our more pressing need in the offense- winger- but it’s just too crowded on that side of the field.

Hi guys! It’s decided! I’m going all the way from Norway to France to watch the Lyon – Marseille game! Problem is, I’m bad at french, and ordering tickets may be a minor problem, so if some1 can instruct me on what to click etc, if i don’t manage it, it would be great!

Alek: a mobile phone number can be entered in a variety of formats: with + or 00 (for international), with (0) or not afterwards, using a separate prefix or not, then with spaces, dashes or nothing… Which format did you use?
Also, general tips for sign on/login issues : 1) make sure there’s no email sent requiring confirmation of your registration by clicking a link, and 2) often clearing your cookies and restarting your browser can help in such issues. Otherwise, if you’re confident you’ve entered everything correctly, try contacting the webmaster?
