Never leave for PSG, ever. Berthod seems to have squandered his potential, while I am unsure that Belhadj has the defensive capabilites to be a starter at LB. Potential players for that spot include...? I really dont know many quality left and right backs in France, most are converted central defenders.

Well, Lyon already has Belhadj and Bethod unless he choses to leave (doubtful, Berthod's not really that ambitious).

It depends on where Houllier wants to use Belhadj since he can also play up front, though I think the plan is to keep him at LB.

Though Ratinho won't come unless either Clerc or Reveillere leave. Reveillere still hasn't extended his contract (Lyon offered it until 2011), but why leave Lyon for PSG?

He seems to be legit, but being a right back i dont think he is needed, a left back is more necessary.

I'm not sure how Lyon would accommodate another Brazilian because right now, all four non-EU spots are taken (Cris, Fred, Juninho, and Fabio Santos). Juninho is due for naturalization, so maybe then...

Upon later reflection, this might indicate that this rumor is just that - a rumor. Which makes me sad, because I like Ratinho. I really do think he's the real deal, despite coming from a country where any kid half decent on the football pitch is rated as the next "Ronaldo/Ronaldinho/Roberto Carlos," etc.

Why does OL buy players they don't need? Instead of Ratinho they should be looking into a better striker or a winger. And adding another Brazilian into what is already a powerful clique isn't smart.

I've seen Eduardo play. He has a lot of talent but is still young and lacks experience. I think maybe 7 million is too high, but you're right, Corinthians don't have the money they used to and can't really keep up with Sao Paulo and Inter.

I think Eduardo would do well in Europe. Nilmar was too thin for a striker, but as a winger, that body type isn't as much of a handicap.
