Fabio Grosso Takes Off His Clothes Yet Again
By: Inara | May 7th, 2008Stripping down to his underwear seems to be an alarming habit. But at least he has an excuse this time - Lyon beat Sedan to make it to the Coupe de France finals for the first time since 1976.

I feel like I’ve been writing a lot about Grosso recently. He’s doing something crazy every week. Pretty soon I might have to give him his own category on this blog.

So if is what you get from having Italians in the team we should recruit more!
I really wanted Grosso to score last night - from about 55 minutes he tried SO hard and kept going. Frankly he was much more of an attacker than Fred (was he really on the pitch at all last night?).
Inara I think you should give Grosso his own feature. I’ve got a soft spot for him since going to see a private training session OL set up for members of their kids club. Grosso was one of the hardest workers and was a really big personality among the team - lots of smiles and really encouraging the others. Others (Fred and Govou) looked like they could barely be bothered to kick the ball.
After the training Grosso was also the first one to come over and sign autographs for the kids.
And who knows maybe Grosso would send in some private photos for you to post!Posted from

It is interesting to see how Grosso is little by little getting into everyone’s heart.
At a time most just criticized him, now he is slowly becoming a major player. Noone talks this much about Reveillere or Clerc for instance.Posted from

I have to agree with Storm here; Grosso really stood out for me in yesterday’s match. He was really working that left flank and had a substantial offensive presence. Have other people noticed how much Grosso and Fred look alike with their long hair? Occasionally with the bad quality of the stream, I was confused to which player it was.

Japple they really do look alike. The main difference is that Grosso has a permanent smile and none of Fred’s moodiness.

Yeah, I sometimes get confused between Fred and Grosso. Except as Storm said, Grosso is definitely the more cheerful one.
I’m normally one of his harshest critics, but I personally thought he was Lyon’s best player last night. I guess it’s taken him a long while to get his bearings, and I think if he can continue improving the defensive aspects of the game, he’ll have a much better season next year.
It’s also nice that he likes being at Lyon. He’s been getting interest from a few Italian clubs, notably Juventus, who would like to see him back at Italy, but so far he hasn’t bitten.

Also, I’ve gotta confess that Grosso getting a red card during the Caen game really pleased me on one level. Of course it was totally inconvenient, but the fact that he was so passionate and angry about the game, that he cared so much that Gouffran just had him totally pissed, is really nice to know, especially when the rest of the team can’t expend that much effort to care sometimes.
