God Bless the Media

Today’s victim was Kim Kallstrom, who was asked about Everton’s supposed interest in his services.
Setanta heard this:
“Lyon is a great club and I hope I stay there for a long time…It’s the first time I’ve heard anything about it (Everton’s interest) so I don’t know actually.”
But wrote this:

That’s not just fishing for a story. That’s putting on scuba gear, taking a boat out into the middle of the ocean, jumping in, harpooning a helpless dolphin, and then presenting it as Moby Dick.
It’s obvious he was just being polite. Right now, he’s playing for the French champions (something that Vikash Dhorasso didn’t appreciate) and plays in Europe’s most elite tournament every year.
If he moves, he’ll move to a club that can offer him at least the same - Champions League football and the opportunity to challenge for a title. After all, English clubs have been after him since his Rennes days, and if he were so desperate to play in the EPL, he’d be in England already. Remember, this was the guy that Valencia offered €14m for last summer (and it looks like they still desperately need him), and who has elicited significant interest from Milan and Barcelona. Everton is definitely not an upwards move. I wouldn’t even call it a lateral one.

wow, inara owning Everton…..lol
The Media is just being themselves : the media. They usually report stuff that i nor care about,or isnt true most of the time.
For example, if what the media reported was always true : Ronaldinho would be in Chelsea, Drogba in Milan, Juninho in Liverpool, Benzema and Ben Arfa would be in Arsenal, Lampard in Barcelona, Mourinho would be in Milan - then barca- then inter - then back to barca - then to enlgand ( all in one day, of course ).
sometimes the Media can be annoying.

I think Kallstrom prefered Lyon, because of wages, and because he always have one tittle in hand. In Everton he will battle for Uefa Cup, maybe for CL, maybe. Everton is every season between 4th and 7th places, and Lyon is always 1st. This season he maybe was 12th, 4th and 2nd, but Lyon will champions always. So Kim stay with us, it’s better and the money is miles of Everton’s money.

The English press has this strange notion that their shitty teams (sunderland, everton etc.) are on par with some of Europes best teams when it comes to competiting for signings. Ignorance and arrogance, they are the colors of the English press.
