In addition to Simao, Lyon also want Klose
By: Inara | June 7th, 2007The footy tabloids make up crazier stories by the day.
Not only do Lyon want to recruit Simao to take Malouda’s place, but apparently, they are also interested in Werder Bremen’s Miroslav Klose, who was supposedly going to Bayern.
Trust Aulas to complicate the situation. Werder Bremen want Alou Diarra but may not be able to meet the price that Lyon will surely demand. So why not Diarra + cash for Klose?
I used to believe that Klose wouldn’t come to Ligue 1, but he’s a mercenary like Ribery. He’s previously stated that playing in the CL didn’t interest him when a possible move to Juventus was in the works. Then he began having talks with UEFA Cup Bayern while his own team was desperately playing for the title.
Side note: Klose was present during Werder’s 2004-2005 Champions League matches against Lyon (see picture). Lyon annihilated them 10-2 on aggregate, and Werder still haven’t recovered.
I’m sure Aulas and Klose will be able to understand each other really well.

Lyon should rather keep Diarra and buy Klose at the regular price ; since Werder does not want to sell it to Bayern, even for an expensive price, and is ready to sell him cheaper to a foreign club

screw klose, he isnt worth it, he puts up goals in world cups and shortly there after and then he is done til the euros and a little bit after then. The guy says he wants to go to Bayern, either this year of next year on a Bosman, so how is there any merit in this report…

I’m pretty sure this is an unfounded rumor, but it’s interesting to read nonetheless. While I know Klose wants to play at Bayern, I feel that at the right price, he would go anywhere.

Klose will play in Bayern, according to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (president of Bayern Munchen)

Klose might move to Bayern because of the space filled up by Santa Cruz leaving for Chelsea. But then again, don’t they have Owen Hargreaves in the midfield with Marco Van Bommel? Both defensive minded.
