Fred never said he would score a couple of goals, he said the game would have a lot of goals…2 very attacking teams.

I agree with you guignol.
I am especially pissed off about the over confidence of a few players. Starting with Fred who said he was going to score a few goals against Man U… how arrogant.
I don’t mind confidence like Cris saying he was ready to play. But there, Fred should revise his humble book.

I hope he proves me wrong.

boumsong was a mess against le mans, although it would be harsh to blame him for the goal, but so far he’s been pretty solid for OL, definitely a step up from anderson.

cris played 90 minutes with the reserves this weekend and says he’ll play if the coach asks him. with just ONE L1 match next to toto under his belt i’d say play him, but that’s not the case.

perrin’s job is not in question right now except perhaps in his own mind. he’ll definitely stay on if OL wins the double, and probably will if OL finishes champs, even on the last day. continuity is a good thing in itself, and i don’t see anyone coming to coach OL that enough better to ignore that fact.

AP’s not responsible for coupet’s, cris’, fred’s or juni’s injuries. he’s not responsible for keita or delgado playing like a pile of old pants; he may or may not have a responsability for fabio santos or belhadj leaving in midseason but all things considered one can’t lay OL’s present troubles (a CL round of 16 spot and being in first place being only relative as troubles go) completely on his doorstep!

Too right Benzema needed to rest. Ferguson had the sense to rest Ronaldo at the weekend in preparation for Wednesday and Man U were placing a cup match. Can you imagine the critiscm if Benzema had started and then picked up a major injury.

sam: HBA was actually probably the third best lyonnais on the pitch saturday… which isn’t saying much since after coupet and squillaci the rest of the team was woeful.

whether he’s wanting away this summer or not, playing badly won’t help him either way, so that’s a silly idea.

pity fred wasn’t healthy, because with a more normal front line le mans was definitely beatable as bad as we were; they were no great shakes.

was OL already thinking about MU? possible. in fact despite their going through a rough patch of late i can think of no other reason for their bring so very very poor against MUC72. and except for govou, who was out of position, JAB who was as hapless as many feared he would be, and delgado, who was just horrible (if he gets another start soon, i think I’LL start hanging around T-V to see if i can’t wrangle a pro contract!), the team was above all tentative, hesitant, mentally absent.

i’m not convinced they’ll make a big showing wednesday, but it’s not based on this match, more the indifferent form they’ve been in for a few weeks.
