Yeah, I just noticed that. So what is the point in a doubly defensive right side? Surely not for Giggs?

OMG Clerc is starting, Ben Arfa is on the bench. Yeah right as if Clerc is good enough to stop Ronaldo. We tried this against Barca and it DIDN'T WORK. Perrin is such a coward!!!

Ronald, I felt fine, as an away goal is all we needed in that game. I will feel much better when Roma comes to the Bernabeu, home of the unbeaten Merengues.

As for Lyon, for me this year is a give away year. We look set to loose only Kallstrom and Anderson (boo hoo), and we will need to make a few buys, but the core group (add Ederson) has great potential, and our young guys on loan will come back with more experience, especially Remy. I am not putting all my eggs in one basket for this game, I do not have much faith in the coach and the teams form is poor, I dont think this is the year. The next two or three years definately.

God sky sports news are awful. This is how they put the Lyon team (with their spellings)

          Coupet

Clerc Squilloci Boumsong Grosso

  Kallstrom Juninho Toulajon

   Benzema Ben Arfa Govou

How are they qualified to even speak about Lyon, since when was Ben Arfa a striker, and what's up with the spelling mistakes? Can't they read. Anyway, fearful tonight but hoping for the best. Benzema and Ben Arfa will have a hard time against Ferdinand and Vidic thats for sure.

it's such a god-damn tricky game to call because...

1 - we can't gauge how well OL will perform when meausring recent form against potential to perform.

2 - the MU that turns up; will it be the one who destroyed roma or the one that fell meekly at the feet of milan?

what i do know is we should play it tight for the first half hour, close up. studying in england i've seen a few MU games and it seems their big strength is counter-attacking at speed; they sit back and sometimes wait, this is epecially true of away games.

i agree it is hard to not to see them scoring so we gotta keep it tight! a 1-0 would be a great result, even a 0-0 as Perrin said. they're so dominant at home a goal conceded is gonna hurt big time.

gah, i'm convinced we will score, the reason they don't condede many, a decent defence asides, is the amount of teams who play 5 in midfield to stop rooney/tevez/ronaldo and scholes/giggs at the expense of their own attacking threat. and sure we'll probably play 5 but we'll look to break also.

so here's to hoping we can hurt the man with the red nose!
