Well, I'm not too worried about the title either, but I would like a bit of a gap so that Lyon have less pressure, especially all those cup matches come around. Because Lyon had points to lose last weekend, they could afford to drop the game against Caen.

And yes, Caen have really impressed this season. They beat Rennes as the away side. Very impressive. If they only had some more money to get a better bench...

I love the way they play, I love their attitude, I love their public...they are simply awesome!

I honestly believe that Lyon really doesn't need to fear for their Ligue 1 title. Things aren't looking so good when you look at the L1 table, but if you look at the names of the teams right behind Lyon, you won't see any of the pre-season "title contenders". Teams like OM, PSG, Lille and Lens were considered a threat to Lyon's domination, but where are those teams now? They are apparently having many problems at the moment, but to me it seems inevitable for those teams to climb up the table. And Nancy, Le Mans and Valenciennes, teams placed second, third and fourth recpectively, probably won't survive the whole L1 season near the top. Perhaps I'm terribly wrong, but I see Lyon clinching the title even easier than last year and teams like OM, Bordeaux and Nancy bitterly fighting for the CL places right to the very end of the season. That is, however, only in the case that Juninho, Benzema and Govou don't get hospitalised because of overplay... :)

P.S. Is Caen on fire or what???

You are right Inara. I dont understand, I know Lyon's management knows better than I do when making decisions like that but wouldn't it be better if belhadj, bodmer, mounier, remy and other bench or reserve players were to play or else they are going to choke when they are put in crucial situations. I don't get it at all.

Yeah I don't know what the deal was. I mean what's the point of having a deep squad if you don't use it in times like these? I only saw from the 66th minute on, but the players looked like crap. They got to Lyon at 5 AM on Thursday morning - of course they're tired!

Does anyone know why Perrin just doesn't rotate his players? Is he too afraid to play football without Benzema and Juninho on the pitch, or does he have a masterplan that we just don't see? The team was almost exactly the same as it was on wednesday, why weren't they given a much needed rest, and players like Baros and Bodmer much needed playing time? It would be a good question even if Lyon won, and now, after the draw, what are the excuses? Beats me...

I didn't realize Clerc and Grosso were playing. Is Perrin out of his mind? Other than Keita, everyone else that started today also started against rangers 2 1/2 days ago!

The best players on the pitch are...Ederson and Lloris. God I wish they were in Lyon kits.

Well, less than ten minutes left. Lyon still have time to do something magical, but it looks like it might end like this. Perrin shouldn't have started Juninho, Benzema, and Govou.
