If Keita wants to start again, he’s REALLY not helping his cause.

And great great game from Stuttgart. They finally showed tonight why they are the German champions. I think if they play like this against Rangers in two weeks, Stuttgart will get three points, which will make qualification for OL much easier.

phew. my heart is still pounding.

I think Stuttgart can at least take a few positives from this match for the upcoming Bayern Munich clash + they get an extra day to regenerate compared to Bayern. Though I wonder, whether they plan to deliver at least a win in their last home match for the fans, or whether Veh decides to give some reserve players some Champions League time to rest players for the league?

Govou let his man get away there on that second german goal.

What an awful call on that penalty.

Now, Stuttgart will beat Glasgow and Lyon will tie Barca.
Meaning the winner of Ibrox will go through.

The question is, can Lyon do it at Ibrox? We know they have problems playing against that kind of opposition. Today’s game, as difficult as it was, allowed Lyon to use their strengths - quick passing, clever movement, etc. Rangers won’t allow that. Perrin might have to have his players practice long ball.

Yes they can beat Rangers at Ibrox, no question.

The Rangers will be torn between defending to preserve their qualification and attack in front of their home crowd.
If Coupet is in goal, it’ll be a big lift too.

I think the biggest question is whether Lyon can take a point out of Barca. They absolutely need it. If they can somehow win against Barca (unlikely), they can even be satisfied with a tie in Glasgow. But that’s highly improbable.

A good point is that Scots choke. Like every time.

That was a special message for our scottish posters…

Huge win and confidence boost today. Ideally, Lyon wins all their L1 and French Cup matches, and Fred rounds back into form. Muller, Cris, and Toulalan come back by the 27th and are fit to play Barcelona. Lyon wins. Rangers lose. Lyon doesn’t choke at Ibrox and go through.

I’m hoping Stuttgart have the incentive to go all out against Rangers. Thankfully it will be in Germany, so hopefully the players will want to gift their fans with a good performance.

Vercoutre was good tonight, except on that second goal. Both goalkeepers were, in fact. I thought Schafer was Stuttgart’s best player tonight, followed by Hitzlsperger.

German teams always give their best.
    Especially since the Austria fiasco.

I have zero doubt Stuttgart will AT LEAST take one point from Rangers, probably 3.

If Lyon can qualify, what a comeback that will be! But I don’t want to get ahead of myself, they still have two tough matches.

But if Rangers win at Stuttgart and Lyon lose to Barca, then it’s the UEFA Cup for us.

Also, Fabio Santos was amazing tonight. And Kim Kallstrom too! Honestly, I think our worst players tonight were Benzema and Grosso - and they weren’t too bad either.
