Have no fear. That background will eventually be photoshopped and replaced with something else.

Thanks, Jo!

They both look very smug, that’s for sure.

I love how Mounier has the biggest smile out of everyone – it’s like he knows that he’s finally getting his chance this year. Then you have Kallstrom who looks the exact opposite, he’s so dour. It’s like he wants to get the hell out.

Also, Piquionne is having his medical at Lyon today. Personally speaking, I’m skeptical about this one – he’s the only summer signing so far that I feel is unambitious – Makoun, Ederson, Lloris, Pjanic, and even Mensah were good buys. But Piquionne? I don’t know, I’m highly skeptical. But he’s also the cheapest player we’ve recruited in a long time (only 4.375m), which in Lyon money, is practically nothing.

Puel is also possibly interested in Sylvain Armand for LB.

And BIGGEST news of all is that Kallstrom stated that he wants to stay at OL despite the extreme amount of competition for places. Yikes, I don’t think Aulas was expecting that at all.

I like the 3 paires of “not exactly the same beige” socks… JMA, i’m disappointed…

    Let’s get one more left back (+ Eto’o ;-) and we’re fine.

But then claude will have to arrange for some serious turnover, not always the same starting 11, and play Benzema or Bodmer wherever we miss a player, because they’re better than any other substitute at any place…

By the way Inara, actually I LIKE that background :)
That’s the “Palais des sports de Gerland”, which is very mythic here, and just near the Gerland.

He’s gonna fight for his place though, that I’m proud of.

Kallstrom is all business thats all. Besides Grenier, all the young guys look pretty pumped to be in the picture. Sandy looks like one of those Sheep dogs with all the hair in his eyes.

There was a cute interview of Grosso today. He said that he loves the club and the city, and he doesn’t want to leave. Also, his teammates teasingly refer to him as macaroni sometimes. :)

Lyon are looking really hard for a LB. Armand is a possibility, but Puel can’t guarantee him a start due to competition with Grosso. The club is also following Pranjic, Pocognoli, Mathieu, and Kadlec.

Pjanic’s parents are moving to Lyon to be with their son. Awww.

Piquionne will be presented today. Transfer is 4.372m on a four year contract. Baros may go in the other direction.

JMA overrated Tiago (rightfully so), Juve overrated Tiago, and finally Tiago overrated Tiago.

See, Tiago was is not a great player, he is a journeymen player, that is all. He is suited for Portugal or France, but to play in Italy or Spain, you need more then just hard work and competent abilities. I think alot of his problems are mental though, and while he was at the top of his game with Lyon, he is at the bottom right now with Juventus.

So, we finally know the deal with the doctors. Orhant will be the head doctor of the club, in charge of the overall medical issues at Lyon, including the academy, the training center, and the senior men and women’s divisions. Ohrant will also specifically see to the men’s team. Amprino is now in charge of the women’s team (ouch, sounds like a demotion). However, Orhant has asked Amprino so be on the bench for the Trophee des Champions since he was the one who’s done the preparations so far.
