OMG ZE COLOURS!!!

That’s how long until Lyon’s new kits are revealed (and no, I didn’t figure out the exact moment myself – there is a counter on Umbro’s website).
My question is…who is the blacked out bald guy?
Anyhoo, the Lyon website posted a teaser picture that didn’t reveal anything at all. But I did discover two things. First, even though Nike now owns Umbro and is technically Lyon’s kit and equipment supplier, the club will still be wearing Umbro gear until 2013, which is when Lyon’s contract with Umbro was supposed to end. Then, presumably, the club will officially be a Nike brand.
The second thing I dug up were the color swatches that are the exact shades of our kits for next season.
Hideous, I know. The white is always classy, and I could even make myself live with the fluorescent yellow (which is turning out to be the new black), but I do not like that shade of blue at all. It’s cornflower blue, which makes no sense. Dark blue is part of the city’s and club’s colors, and turquoise blue was what the rumors all claimed, but this gross cornflower blue?

It’s funny because when i was a kid, Paris and Lyon were Nike clubs and they had the same exact jerseys except for the red and blue stripes.
Aside from that, wtf is up with the bright yellow? Your black jerseys are so dope. So were the red ones. The only ones i hated were the god ones.Posted from

Thanks to ask the question that bother me since this morning: who is this f***ing blacked out guy ??? How does he dare to take the central place of Juninho in the picture ?!!!! Because if he is really bald and he is not Cris, there is a problem !!!

I personally loved the black kits and am depressed that they got rid of it :@
(and the yellow…it’s pretty hideous. In some lights the fluorescent will start to look like puke yellow

That blue (in my mind) has already been wear by Vercoutre, this year.
That would be interesting ti finf the picture, but I can’t remember the game.
Remember the gold kit we had this year had been wear by Coupet 2 years ago !

I liked the black CL kit a lot as well. Even in red one in 2004 was good.

But Ben Arfa’s head isn’t shaped like that…is it? Plus it’s strange that Lyon would promote their kits if Ben Arfa won’t be around to play in them next year.
We can rule out Boumsong, Benzema, and Cris because they are already in the poster. Fabio Santos? But he’s still in Brazil.

the blacked out guy… is cris. it’s the same silhouette as his other one in the same pic, they just touched up one ear to make it a little less spocky.
it’s hard to judge from a swatch, but the blue kit will probably be alright. that’s a traditional OL color, most recently worn winning the coupe de la ligue.
the black had to go eventually. i would have loved to see the gray come back, my all time fave (the real gray, not the dirty white w/ red shorts, our worst kit since justin bridou days).
the yellow may just be alright if it isn’t too fluo, and they get the shorts right. black, or silver, why not?
my big question is the stripes on the white kit. dollars to doughnuts they’ll be horizontal. hope so anyway.

Basically, it’s saying that Lyon’s kit presentation will be this Monday at noon. The players presenting the new kits will be Juni, Cris, Lloris, Ederson, Pjanic, Tafer, and Grenier.
That’s weird. Lyon normally have their new recruits (from the previous winter and this summer so far) model the kits. So I’m not sure what Cris and Juni are doing there. Instead, Delgado and Boumsong should be there with Ederson, Pjanic, and Lloris.
Also, it’s strange to see Grenier and Tafer there. They were promoted from within, not purchased. Guys like Benzema, Remy, Mounier, etc never got to present kits before.
