I agree Inara, Fred can be the striker we need for the CL conquest, he just needs to get his head in the game. The video of him loosing to Kaka in Winning Eleven was hilarious, although the way he spoke to Emerson was very arrogant and mean. i assume they were joking but i dont know…

I’ll definitely keep you updated. He has the Copa Americas coming up, though I imagine you’ll be more informed than I am. I really do think Fred is something special. He just needs to grow up a bit, and then he’ll be dynamite.

I got to see Fred a lot in Brazil at Cruzeiro and was truly astounded by his natural goal -scoring talent. I still like to believe he has it in him to be of Van Nistleroy caliber.

At Cruzeiro, it would get frustrating at times, as he often just bailed out on a game when games turned defensive or into a midfield struggle.

I was pleased with his success at Lyon, proving that he is indeed an interesting offensive force. Again, however, the hope is that he pulls his head together.

I believe he will, and hope to see a breakthrough year for him next season for the French champs, followed by a move to perhaps the EPL (I think he’d fit very well in that style of play).

Nonetheless, as someone I saw when he was 19, and personally watched score countless goals, I’m a fan and hope the best for him. I hope for the best both for he and Lyon.
