Thanks Jo. Except for the homophobic comment, they are no big deal. They made it sound much worse on the OL web site and in the media. I thought someone made a racist comment about Diouf. That would have been shocking had it happened in Gerland.

Yes I saw it. That was stupid and easy.
It was written “Pape Diouf, tes initiales te vont si bien”
That means something like “Pape Diouf, your initals go well with you”
“PD” in french means “Gay”.
That’s kind of words we heard in every stadium of every country, but I guess writing it is “worse”.
That’s more a insult than an homophobic comment.

That was really stupid from the Bad gone.

The other banners was :
Liberté pour… le coiffeur de … Santos.
(Freedom for Santos … barber)

I have to admit that one made me laugh. I learned after the game that Santos was in Gerland.

And the third Bad Gones banner was :
“Hatem ça la merde”
That’s difficult to traduce, there is a wordplay with Ben Arfa’s name. Something like “You like shit, huh ?”

Did anyone who attended the match see the banner that was supposedly displayed by OL fans, with negative/racist words aimed at Pape Diouf? Supposedly security took it down very quickly. Lyon have posted a denunciation on the website.

Just for your information, the ambiance at Gerland last Sunday was incredible. Sure, that was not a so great game, but OM and OL supporters were crazy.
That was much better than the Bayern game ! That means OL / OM is beggining a new classico, and more important for the supporters than first rounds of the Champions league !

And I’m really mad about Mr Bre, the referee of the Marseille game. HE HAD TO give a second yellow to Zubar. Now Ederson, one of our best players in the moment, is injured because of him… and the game would have been totally different if Zubar (who played well) get the red he deserved.
A referee is on the pitch to PROTECT the players. That’s the priority. Stephane Bré did’nt.

Wait, 2,6 grams, how much is that above the legal limit? In Serbia we express the level of alcohol with percantage, with 0,05% being the legal limit. If my math is correct, and 2,6 grams is in fact 0,26% of alcohol in his blood, then he must have been extremely drunk! what a frustrating game. I’m starting to lose patience with Puel’s substitutions, Govou wasnt having a good game and he pulls Ederson instead who was one of the best on the field. And pulling out Juninho made no sense either, considering Fred is not at all in form. uggh. we need to get rid of him and buy someone like Hoarau.
