It seems that Gamberini also suffered an injury during the game against Cyprus, so both Lyon and Fiorentina have defensive worries because of that one game. Not sure about Viola, but losing Grosso seems like a serious blow to our chances – he’s not only our first-choice left-back, he’s also our only Italian. However, I believe that we don’t need any joker-signings: if Mensah, Boumsong and Kalstrom can play in that position, they better start training it as soon as possible. Just look at Bodmer and how well he is doing…

If the transfer window is over, how does it work, recruiting a medical joker? And why didn’t we do it last year when he had so many players out?

Anyway, even if OL did get someone else, he couldn’t play in the Champions League because the deadline to submit players for the competition is already over. Kallstrom/Boumsong/TK are enough for L1, and we’ll really only be missing Grosso against Fiorentina and Bayern, so I don’t know if recruiting another player will solve any problems.

Plus he’d also have to be unemployed at the moment.

That means no Grosso for OL / Fiorentina and Bayern / OL.

I don’t know what to say in light of Grosso’s injury.

I just hope he gets better soon and that it won’t be a long lay off like Clerc’s.

i should have put ( sarcasm ) at the end of my post. I actually didnt want Ronan to sugest anyone.

Petrov plays for Manchester City, a team that just got a new rich owner with alot of money, why would he come over here if he knows he would be cutting his pay by alot.[ forget about this ]

Queresma is extremely talented, but he has a ego problem. We had this problem last year ( see HBA ). Plus we went after him before and he said no, so i dont know why we would still be interested in him. Plus he’s an Inter player now, which means his skills will be useless in the Mourinho’s Style of Football play. [ Vaya con Dios ].

Petrov in Lyon? Who can say such a stupid thing? On lef flank we have Delgado, Pjanić, Ederson ( who play against Lorient at that position ) and Keita when he returns. So, we have theree players on that position + Ederson or even Govou.
