Thierry, I just love the combination of Benzema and Ben Arfa on the field. They seem to have so much fun with their play together.

Inara, the other funny moment was when Revelliere screwed up the throw in. The ball slipped out of his hands and he looked up and realized he didnt make the throw.

I just remembered two funny moments from the game. One was Benzema faking out Caen’s goalkeeper. It was like kid’s stuff!

The other was Squillaci’s total miss. He was in a perfect position to score (though I’m not quite sure why he was chilling in the opposition’s penalty box with Benzema and Ben Arfa), but it looked like he didn’t know what to do when the ball landed at his feet. Instead he did a double take and probably thought it was his own goal. It’s called defenders dyslexia.

In fact after the Bodmer ’s goal the moral of the young players of Caen collapsed. Defenitively, it isn’t the same defense when Anderson is here. They were easily cutting open our defense and midfield by the weakness of our MD(Kaellströem isn’t MD, let Fabio Santos alone so easy counter attack.) When he etablished his plan Perrin probably expected Caen to play Defensively, or may be he hadn’t got a lot of choice to let other defensif players have a day off. Who could will we have in Defence vs Stuttgart for the moment? I love the body dummy of Benzema and the nonchalant style pass of Ben Harfa(it’s me or he protect his ball and pass more and more like Zidane).

Well, Fred didn’t look too bad. But he did look out of shape, which makes sense because he hasn’t played an entire competitive game yet. It’s obvious that he’s still not ready yet. And Baros was out injured today too.

Still, you’re right. I think the entire team feels more confident when Benzema is on the pitch, like they know he’ll score. So when he isn’t, there’s this insecurity.

Geez. Benzema has the entire squad in his hands right now.

It’s official. Lyon are Benzema and Juninho dependent.

On another note, I have to admit that Remy Vercoutre saved Lyon several times over. Lyon’s defenders were all crap, so it really was all him.

Oh, and Benzema has scored in ever competition he’s played in since last June: Peace Cup, L1, Champions League, internationals, and now the Coupe de la Ligue.
