Yeah but Paris have two solutions:
- The Yepes solution that also works with Luyidula. Give a player a floor salary of 150000 euros a month and give him thee times the normal bonus depending on his personal performance, the club’s ranking and the competitions they get at the end of the season.
- The Ronaldinho solution that worked for Heinze, Worns, Pochettino and many players before. Get Nike to pay for half the contract.
When Wiltord was in Arsenal and wanted to come back in France he did anything to make Paris understand he wanted to come back home. And Vahid majorly dropped the ball. Since he’s here at least once a week, he might as well stay in the area.

Wiltord is also interested by PSG, but I don’t think they can afford him either. Same with Govou. They are both to expensive for French clubs outside of Lyon. PSG has a huge salary crisis in having to pay Pauleta so much money after Lyon drove his wages up, and Cisse’s salary is partly covered by Marseille.

Jamie: I believe Lyon were interested in Toure last summer, but for whatever reason, Lyon chose not to pursue their interest, as they had signed Toulalan and wanted to get Makoun also. But Toure is a very good player, with lots of progression ahead of him, and he won’t mind being a squad player at Barca.

I’ve had a while to prepare myself for Tiago’s departure, so I’m more accepting of it now. Plus Bodmer is a really nice consolation prize. I hope he does well at Juventus, I really do.

That was a great player, it’s true. But I don’t think he will miss so much to Olympique Lyonnais. We have very very pleasants substitutes.

I understand Juve’s move. He’s much better than Zanetti and could replace Camoranesi easily. What I like about him is that he doesn’t invest himself much in the clubs he plays for. Kinda like Rivaldo

Tiago is a quality player, had my eye on him since he was at Benfica. And he did pretty well at Chelsea under the circumstances. But I think Lyon is the best team for him, and I don’t think he’ll do as well at Juventus, Milan, or any other club. Lyon fit him like a club, and I think his moving his bad for him and for the club he’s going to.

This is unrelated, but is Lyon interested in Yaya Youre? Barcelona might bid for him, but I don’t trust French players that Lyon aren’t interested in. Since you guys do get the cream of the crop, and if a player in France doesn’t come from Lyon, it makes you wonder how good he really is.
