Milan’s WAG

Since the current crop of Lyon transfer rumors made me too depressed to post anything intelligent, I thought I’d just post a picture for my male readers to appreciate instead.

The woman on the left is Edita Hortova, otherwise known to the world as the girlfriend of Milan Baros. Unsurprisingly, she’s a model.

Perhaps they met at a photo shoot. For those of you who don’t know much about Houllier’s least most favorite player, Baros does modeling on the side. He’s no Freddie Ljungberg, but hey, you have to start from somewhere.

Edita’s impressive CV includes winning Miss Europe 2005 and being the runner up in Miss Czech Republic 2004. She was also the runner up to Tourism Queen of the Year 2005. I kid you not.

It must be nice for Baros to know that no matter how much life sucks for him at the moment, he has a hot girlfriend to come home to.

And is it just me, or does it seem like she’s posing by that cactus arm on purpose?

  I know there is a Fiorentina official in Lyon right now, and they are after one of Lyon’s defenders. But for most of the year, they’ve been after Claudio Cacapa, who will be a free agent this summer. Squillaci won’t go anywhere - he just arrived last summer, and Cris will only leave for Italy if Milan or Juventus enter the picture (and for a lot of money). If Fiorentina snag Cacapa, I’d consider that a great deal because there’s no transfer fee, and more important, he has a French passport and has tons of experience, which is what Fiorentina need for their back line..

  Fiorentina might have inquired about Bodmer, but I don’t see it happening. Lacombe confirmed that contract discussions are “very advanced” with both players agreeing to sign. And I think by now Lyon and Lille have worked out Keita’s transfer fee. So barring a huge bid from elsewhere, Keita and Bodmer will be at Lyon next season.

  If Baros plays like he does for his NT, I’ll be happy.

  You know, I feel like Baros can’t play well unless he’s happy. Mood swings really affect the guy.
